Flubberix: Is this him?

I think I have a legitimate claim when I say that I've actually found Richard Armitage in his role in Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace. I've looked over the other claims and I've found their findings short of being adequate. Without further ado, I've uploaded the screenshots here: What do you think? Am I right?

Hi there

This is a contentious issue as people have different ideas of which scenes contain Richard. If you want my opinion then I'm afraid no, I don't think that's him. I put pictures of scenes that I believe contain Richard in the Star Wars gallery (in both pictures he's on the left), but I'm sure plenty of people will disagree with me. Richard has said he cannot find himself in the film so we'll probably never know for sure!

Melissa Hansen: Distribute audio book mp3 pleez!

Two things to mention: 1) it's impossible to get the RA unabridged Lords of the North audiobook in the US, it's be great if it were distributed through or itunes. 2) The RA readings of abridged Georgette Heyer novels are so good it makes me cry that they arent' unabridged and that he hasn't performed Frederica, Arabella or The Grand Sophy. If he is ever asked to read Frederica, there would be a cadre of American fans of GH who will pay princely sums to get his performances of the entire novels... Oh, I gues I have three things to say, 3) He is far and away the best performer of novels as audiobooks bar none. Really, it's a remarkable, enjoyable experience listening to him interpret novels. More, please. And unabridged, pretty, pretty please!

Hi Melissa

It's not impossible to get The Lords of the North in the US as many US visitors to this site will attest because they have had it shipped to them. Full details of how to do this were provided by the distributors of the audiobook and I have listed the information they passed on here.

I remember reading that the reason the Heyer's are abridged is because NAXOS who produced the audiobooks were only able to buy the license for the abridged versions and the unabridged were not available for those novels. So it's not really something that RA has any control over.

I agree, his audiobooks are fantastic, particularly Lords of the North which I loved, and I also hope that he is able to record more one day.

Chris: Happy Birthday to Richard

Dear Ali, I am not really New on this Site, but it is my First Message. I want to send very happy Birthday Wisches to Richard, even belated. I did not know him before I have seen the first part of the Hobbit, but I found him very well. I Share his Passion for Tolkiens World since I saw The Fellowship of the Ring the First Time. I have read this in an interview with him in the official Film Book. Best regards Chris

evangeline: North and South '75 & '04 versions

Comparing the two,the differences are the current acting and directional outlook of the second, but the pivot was the combined actors'flawless chemistry and physical attributes which welded the story to a consummate vision.

So here's how to get a international reply coupon. 1) Print a copy from the IMM (International Mail Manual) 380-381.4: International Reply Coupons under extra services > Supplemental Services 2) Print a copy of USPS's FAQ 3) Highlight the section on the FAQ which says Are International Reply Coupons (IRCs) still available? Yes, the selling price will be $2.20 each. IRCs are exchangeable in any other Universal Postal Union member country for stamps equal to the minimum postage for an air letter. 4) If you have a cell phone you may want to take USPS's 800 customer service number in case they give you push back. The number is: 1-800-275-8777 5) Have the USPS Product number for IRCs. This allows them to ring it up in their little cash register computer and realize indeed it's something they should have and sell. The IRC part number is: 330900 If all goes well you should leave with some international reply coupons. Be sure that they "stamp" the U.S. side of the IRC before you leave to validate them.

Pat: N&S Music

Doris, My brother was able to download nine of the musical selections from "North and South" for me. I burned them all to a CD plus some of Ali's sound files. Makes for a nice ride to work in the morning. I agree, the music is lovely, I wish there was a soundtrack. ~Pat

Texas RA fan: Birthday Gift

I had the idea of making a donation to one of Richard's charities in honor of his birthday Thursday. Maybe $42? Anyone else in?
