Hi Ali Long time no contact but I do still visit daily! I must have been on another planet for a while - when did Richard move to New York?? I know he has done some work in the States and seemed to be over there a lot, but I did not realise he had made it permanent enough to call himself a New Yorker - I was quite upset when I read the article with that in. No chance now then of him doing the stage work in the UK he hinted at ages ago. There is a lot of news about the premieres at the moment, but does anyone know if there will be a special event in London again?? If so, any clues as to who may attend? Seeing Richard will be in Spain on the 11th let us hope he can stay in Europe long enough to grace us with his presence in London!! Enough gripes for now. You still do a great job keeping us up to date with things - not sure how you fit it in. Thank you. Regards Tracey
I don't fit it in very well lately, as you've probably noticed with the delay in posting recent news and your message! Richard mentioned living in New York last December in GQ magazine but I don't think that necessarily precludes him working anywhere else - he seems to be very well travelled lately!
It doesn't look there will be a London Hobbit premiere this year. All the premiere destinations announced so far are different from those last year, which seems a fair way of ensuring fans from other places in the world will get the opportunity to witness the red carpet event. I have a hunch that the World Premiere will be in London next year, but that's not based on any evidence other than my own gut feeling, since the UK was Tolkien's home.
