Rose: interviews

Thanks for the links to the Anglophile interview on Youtube, I thought it was one of the best RA interviews I've seen. My other 2 favourites were the Scotty and Nige Radio segment, and the Go Pop interview. Very entertaining and plenty of funny bits.

It was a great interview and I do like those ones you mentioned - lots of fun. It's reminded me of an interview from 2010 when he was as relaxed, if not more so (probably because there was no camera!)

I'm referring to the interview with David Stephenson on 18 Sep 2010, the 'Express Audio Interview', which is on the Spooks series 9 interviews and clips page. This interview took place just before we discovered Richard had been cast in Captain America.

Lynn: Julie and Pat

Julie and Pat, If you want a happy ending then get the "Vicar of Dibley, Happy Ending". It is a side of Richard that will make you want to see over and over. I squeal every time he talks about nurses, Its wicked sexy. Then you will have to see everything he has done. Just go to his Bio on this site and go to you tube and you can watch it all except for some early small parts. I also suggest "The Golden Hour" he plays an A & E (where I will be working) doctor, boy can that man put in a chest tube. Happy hunting, Lynn

Lynn: Anglophile Interviews

Hi Ali, I have written to you several times over the last 8 years and I must say, "THANK YOU" so much for these last interviews with Richard. I love seeing this side of him and he seems at such ease, and THERE'S A PART 3. I wrote you some years ago to let you know that I was working on being able to work in the UK as a nurse and it is finally coming true. I am leaving the USA to work in London in April. I am so thrilled about this adventure that I am about to embark on and I just wanted to share this with you. I just spent 2 hours working on some online classes I have to do for this new job and saw the interview. It made my day. Thank you for everything. If I had not found your site I would have never seen almost all (Between the Sheets) of his work. I am sure I can get the DVD when I get to London. Maybe we can meet one day and I will buy you a pint. Keep up the great work, Lynn

Wow Lynn that's fantastic, many congratulations! I look forward to that trip to the pub.

Take care and thanks for getting in touch.

Karen: Hello!

Greetings from TX. I am very glad to have found this website. It has been super helpful in locating the audiobooks Mr. Armitage has done. I am a fan from Robin Hood, and I believe poor Guy got a bad wrap, (what was Marion thinking!)but I loved him anyway. I really am enjoying listening to him tell a story. His voice is so soothing. I even found the children's books he read on video and they are absolutely charming!! Thank you for this creative website.

Hi Karen

Glad you found my site, thanks for visiting and I'm really pleased that it has been helpful.

Guy is my favourite and yes what was she thinking? ;)

Pat: Julie M

Julie, I totally agree with you---it would be nice for Richard's characters to actually survive the series! Due to a mixup I bought the second season of Strike Back thinking it was the first...and you know what happens in the first episode!! Very traumatic to have to watch that! ;) Once we got that cleared up I did enjoy the first season of Strike Back the most of any of Richard's work, except North & South of course! Pat

Susana: Los Angeles

So i just read the bit about Richard being in LA. Where I live...and it breaks my heart knowing he was so close, and I didn't get get to meet him. Don't know if he's still here, but what are my chances anyway. :(

Julie M.: MI5 and Strike Back: Origins

Well, I've made my way through Strike Back: Origins, which was really engaging if you like action type plot lines. And I just finished Season 9, I believe it was, of Spooks/MI-5, which had me in tears at the end. Very well done on both characters, RA! SPOILER ALERT: (FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T VIEWED EITHER SHOW YET, STOP READING HERE--and yes, I may be the only one) But, RA, if you check in on this blog and see my post, please please please, would you pick a character that doesn't get dead at the end of the story line?? We've lost Guy, we've lost John Porter, we've lost Lucas North, and because I've read and grew up in Middle Earth, I know the demise of Thorin is imminent. Stop already and give us a happily ever after where you live and get the girl! Us ladies would love to see you happily off into the sunset once in a while, mate :). Cheers, Julie in Oregon

Dia: 'Hamlet' audio novel

I was listening to some of Richard's readings the other day and was wondering when there would be more audio spell work from him to enchant us..and lo and behold! Great news. Will you be able to upload some excerpts here?

Yes when I get a copy, certainly. Also clips will be posted before the release date according to one of the authors of the novel, so watch my News page for links.

Great news indeed!

Mari: A Thank You

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for these pages. I too am a little "late" in discovering this wonderful actor. (Despite my friend trying to get me to watch North & South since 2008... Which I actually just spent all night watching and found extremely captivating!) It's always amazing how some people are willing to take the time and effort making pages for someone they may not even know. So again thank you for these pages and thank you Richard for keeping us entertained! I hope he will continue to write to us who greatly admire his work. "Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you." Princess Diana

Yes it is bizarre that I run a website for an actor I do not know, but it's lots of fun so I guess that's why I do it. Many people 'found' Richard through North and South, but I'm glad you found this website and left a comment. Nice to 'meet' you.
