IntroductionRichard played Dr. Tom Steele in two episodes of this BBC daytime drama serial filmed at the BBC Birmingham studios. ‘Doctors’ started in 2000 and is still shown at lunchtimes on the BBC today. Richard appeared in the following episodes shown on 21 and 22 November 2001:
Series 4, episode 58 – Cat’s Out of the Bag Episode summary: Helen is not impressed by the locum doctor (Dr. Tom Steele – Richard Armitage), an old friend of Marc’s that he has brought into the practice to cover for Mac, because Katrina has received nothing but complaints about him. He fails to correctly treat a little girl with asthma. Series 4, episode 59 – Good Companions Episode summary: A son worries about the health of his mother’s carer, and in Mac’s absence it’s up to locum Tom to reassure him. Meanwhile, Marc decides to get in touch with his birth mother and Beth continues to search for her sister Jude.
