On 29 October 2007, as part of the ‘Afternoon Play’ series, novelist Jane Feaver introduced a selection of previously unheard letters from the late Poet Laureate, written to family, friends, academics, children and fellow writers. The letters were sent to Hughes’s publisher Faber & Faber during 1952 – 1972. Jane Feaver knew Ted when she worked for the publisher in London. Richard Armitage adopted a yorkshire accent to read a series of letters and poems in the style of the poet Ted Hughes (1930-1998).
